Position Summary In this role you will plan, recommend, and conduct research to enhance consumer and B2B knowledge to guide better brand decision making for the business. In support of multifunctional brand teams, you will generate insights based on consumer and B2B attitudes, behavior, and responses to help guide team decisions. Research can range from highly strategic (e.g., defining a new value proposition for one of our lines of business) to more tactical (e.g., ongoing tracking of consumer perceptions about the brand). Research may also span a variety of our business units (CVS Pharmacy, Aetna, Caremark, etc.)
Reporting to the Director of Brand Insights, you will work with stakeholders and insights peers at the Director, Sr. Director and VP levels to understand our needs and context, then help design cost-effective analyses to uncover the relevant audience truths, implement those initiatives and work with teams to incorporate the results into their action plans.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with manager, peers and stakeholders to develop research plans that address the needs of marketing strategy & brand teams.
Partnering with external suppliers to explore design options, incorporating both primary and secondary research and taking into account historical knowledge. Providing recommendations to stakeholder teams and working with vendors to execute on the aligned approach.
Proactively managing multiple projects simultaneously, addressing objectives, adhering to timelines and meeting cost targets.
Thoroughly analyzing study results and developing reports that present the data in an accurate, clear and digestible way.
Presenting and communicating final reports to a variety of audiences, remaining objective to the findings, providing actionable recommendations and influencing business decisions.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of market research/insights experience in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
Role may require occasional travel (<5% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in branding insights (e.g., research to develop brand positioning, value propositions, brand tracking, in-market brand measurement), etc.
Experience in healthcare, health & wellness, and/or B2B research
Experience working in a complex, matrix-based organization across a variety of partner groups
Strong analytical and consulting skills
A strategic mindset with an ability to connect insights across a variety of data sources
Independent project management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across internal team members, senior leaders, collaborators and vendor partners
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 years of experience) required
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,200.00 - $174,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
