Description: Sikorsky Training Academy (STA) is seeking a Maintenance & Crewmember Instructor to provide formal instruction and assistance with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the Black Hawk at the organizational level.
The candidate will also support USAF Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) training for Special Mission Aviators (SMAs) at various USAF locations. Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with H-60/S-70 Hawk series aircraft and a minimum of 200 flight hours as a qualified crewmember. Candidate should be familiar with instructional techniques and delivery methods.
The candidate will be responsible for classroom setup, class materials, course currency and changes to course content based on existing technical guidance, as well as maintaining instructor proficiency of assigned courses. Responsibilities will include course control document reviews, processing class schedule and results into the Learning Management System, and developing new training materials/aids based on customer requirements.
Candidate will collaborate with other Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to validate training content, and will support travel as required in support of training.
Class II FAA Flight Physical must be obtained prior to employment.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class II FAA Flight Physical.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance.
• Professional experience in the sustainment and support of H-60/S-70 platform.
• Demonstrated H-60/S70 systems knowledge.
• Experience utilizing Technical Orders (TO’s), Job Guides (JG) and other technical data to perform aircraft maintenance.
• Experience developing lesson plans and presentations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to quickly master new technical and training applications.
• Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience as a H-60/S-70 crewmember Instructor
• Demonstrated ability and experience utilizing Instructional System Design (ISD).
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborate with others to meet training needs.
• Prior experience instructing training in a highly regulated environment.
• Degree in related field and/or industry certifications (i.e. FAA license)
• Demonstrated ability to develop and revise training material to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements.
• Demonstrated instructor skills including classroom lecture, lab performance demonstrations and evaluations.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
