About the function
The Commercial Experience Tower is all about the processes that allow us to transact with our customers and distributors. We are the second biggest tower in GBO, operating in centres located in Budapest, Bangalore, Bogota, and Manila as well as satellite locations such as Belfast, Madrid, Athens, and Turin.
About the role
We provide insight, analysis, and provocation to our markets on our key areas of specialism such as debtors management & credit risk management.
The purpose of the role is to maximise cash flow and minimising bad & old debt. You will be expected to provide world class back office support for the customer teams and in market finance teams to ensure customer spend payments are processed on time, customers receive their money back hence paying Diageo on time in return.
The role manages relationship with customers and with various teams of the market and internally (e.g. customer service team, supply team, warehouse). You will schedule and lead regular communications with Customers and Sales to drive cash collection, flag and eliminate any reoccurring issues either cash, dispute, data or technical related. You will manage credit risk (monitor payment behaviour of customers and propose credit limit changes), customer ledger (up-to-date information about overdue items) and maintains customer documentation.
The role gives input to cash forecasting and also reviews and approves outgoing payment to customers.
