About the Role:
The Credentialing Specialist will be engaged in all aspects of credentialing of healthcare professionals. This includes onboarding new providers, assisting in resolution of issues facing current providers, and ensuring all providers have current certification and licensure. The Credentialing Specialist will report to the Credentialing Manager, and collaborate frequently with Provider Operations leadership.
The Credentialing Specialist will have 7+ years of experience working in a high-paced environment. This individual will: have strong written and verbal communication skills, use organized and structured thinking, work cross-functionally effectively, and have the ability to self- manage deadlines - all skills necessary in maintaining the operational foundation of a growing credentialing program. A successful candidate will have experience working in developing, documenting, and maintaining new processes. This individual will be comfortable working in spreadsheets with basic Excel skills, and with monitoring performance dashboards. Most importantly, they will build with scale in mind: constantly finding and executing on opportunities for improving workflows.
You Will: Ensure new and existing providers possess the required credentials and licenses to operate compliantly on the H&H platform, that these are documented accurately, and work with providers to ensure that these credentials are kept up to date Own onboarding process for credentialed providers onto H&H platform, including updating and maintaining credentialing database throughout the process. Coordinate, resolve, or escalate credentialing related support issues through ZenDesk. Identify common themes and partner with the credentialing manager to improve provider experience in the credentialing processes. Perform employment verifications and send out certificates of insurance for current providers. Audit and verify compliance with NCQA and state level requirements for providers to practice. Build, maintain and own documentation using knowledge of day-to-day credentialing activities to ensure accuracy. Better every day: identify, coordinate, execute, and document workflow improvements. Reporting: use trackers in spreadsheets to track the progress of ongoing projects. You Have: Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of seven (7) years credentialing experience with working knowledge of credentialing accreditation regulations, policies and procedures, and NCQA standards. Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal, listening effectively and asking questions when clarification is needed. Must be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail Must be able to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines; with the ability to re-prioritize as needed. Comfortable navigating data platforms e.g., Excel, AirTable Previous experience working in a Telehealth environment is a plus!
