DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Arconic is currently in search of a Litigation Counsel to join their legal team in Pittsburgh. This position will report to the General Counsel and have broad responsibility for the litigation function, including employment litigation. RESPONSIBILITIESKey Responsibilities -- * Manage a wide variety of global civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes, personal injury, toxic tort, employment, and product liability. As part of this responsibility, this role will be responsible for overseeing discovery, third-party subpoenas, and assisting with outside counsel selection, coordinating litigation strategies and costs related to litigation. * Work directly with General Counsel, outside counsel and other staff attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in providing legal advice and risk mitigation across a broad range of employment legal matters (employee relations, terminations, discipline, wage and hour compliance and disputes, investigations, leaves of absence, employment-related agreements/documents, harassment/discrimination issues, and disability/reasonable accommodations issues and others as they arise).* Serve as tactical partner with company-wide business leaders from a strategic and operating perspective.
QUALIFICATIONSBasic Qualifications * Law degree (JD) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) -Member in good standing of the bar of a State, a Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. * Minimum 7 years as practicing litigator working for a law firm or in-house with wide ranging experience in handling civil litigation, including commercial, toxic tort, personal injury, and product liability, employment through all phases * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
