Job Title: Corporate Vice President, Technology
Location: Lebanon, NJ - This position reports to the NY Life office in Lebanon, NJ. Applicants may work from a Home Office within a commutable distance of Lebanon, NJ.
Offered Wage: $174,543.98/year
Duties: Builds enterprise data management platforms in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Provides strategic thinking and builds core data platforms for the enterprise across a variety of technologies in the Data, Analytics, and Cloud spaces. Partners with the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Architecture team to bring conceptual architecture to life in a secure and automated manner. Leads strategic initiatives across EDM and the company as a whole and provides leadership for projects distributed across a team of Engineers and Developers. Ensures enterprise data platforms are standardized, optimized, automated, highly-available, and secure to support business and technology needs. Understands internal data-related initiatives and engineers optimal designs and solutions. Drives knowledge management practices for key enterprise data platforms and collaborates with team members. Collaborates with peers across EDM, the OneTech team, and business partners to deliver an overarching strategy. Develops framework, metrics, and reporting to ensure progress can be measured, evaluated, and continually improved. Stays abreast of emerging technologies and new techniques to refine and improve overall delivery, and adheres to the company's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), security, and change management processes and "best practices." Participates in Level 3 on-call support rotation.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience architecting, building, engineering, and automating highly-available, resilient, and secure solutions in the AWS cloud.
Or, alternatively:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience architecting, building, engineering, and automating highly-available, resilient, and secure solutions in the AWS cloud.
Required Skills:
Experience must include 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:
(1) Architecting, building, and maintaining a highly-available and resilient enterprise data management platform in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud leveraging EC2, ECS, EKS, and S3 AWS services; Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef DevOps tools; Jenkins or Argo CD Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools; and, Docker and Kubernetes container technologies;
(2) Automating infrastructure provisioning using Puppet and Chef configuration management tools;
(3) Authoring and maintaining infrastructure-as-a-code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation;
(4) Authoring AWS Lambda jobs to perform analytics, enforce security and infrastructure maintenance in the cloud; and,
(5) Migrating infrastructure and applications from on-premise to the AWS cloud and writing Python code using Boto and Boto3 software development kit (SDK) to automate solutions.
