Overall Responsibility
The role of the Staff Accountant is to participate in the preparation of the overall accounting activities related to the production of accurate US GAAP financial statements for Endeavor by both legal entity and business segment. This includes working with the Corporate Consolidations Team in the preparation of related footnotes on a quarterly and annual basis and performing varied accounting and analysis activities of a complex nature. The Staff Accountant will request technical guidance from management to help ensure internal controls and timeliness in financial reporting within the global finance function. The individual will identify value-added opportunities to better serve the businesses and senior management, including identifying opportunities and making recommendations for overall individual performance improvement.
Key areas of responsibility
Prepare journal entries, reports, etc. related to activities for the corporate cost centers globallyFinance, IT, Tax, Accounting, Treasury, HR, LegalPrepare and execute the operations necessary for the centralization of specific accounting areasFixed Assets, Leases, Goodwill, Intangibles, Debt, Payroll, non-controlling interestPrepare monthly account reconciliation for all corporate legal entitiesPrepare the monthly reporting packs for corporate entities for the consolidationAssist in preparing quarterly balance sheet analytics for the corporate business segmentSupport internal and external audit of financial processes and statementsPrepare and/or participate in activities on the monthly closing checklist to ensure they are completed in a timely mannerAssist with the aggregation of data for quarterly and annually reported footnotesSpecial project as assigned (e.g., research newly issued Accounting Standards, assisting with the implementation of the Company's global ERP system, integration of newly acquired businesses, ad hoc analysis, other financial system upgrades, etc.)Master Data Administration
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors in Accounting or Finance1-3 years of general experience in similar capacityWorking toward additional Certification and/or MBA preferredStrong analytical skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of dataKnowledge of SOX 404 Act and the ability to design and maintain related internal controlsExcellent communication and relations building skills and the ability to proactively work in teams with a high attention to deal and ability to prioritize and balance work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment with high level of responsibility and ownershipProficiency in Microsoft Office; especially MS Excel, and working knowledge of financial systems (SAP preferred), statement and reports
