RELYANT Global is currently seeking an experienced Corporate Quality and Safety Manager to support works to be performed Globally from their Corporate Headquarters in Maryville, TN. The Corporate Quality and Safety Manager has the overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the health and safety program for both construction and service lines, as well as corporate overview of all matters within the quality program. This includes the review of the corporate health and safety plan and assurance of company compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and environmental regulations. On the quality side, the position will develop and implement the Corporate Quality Management System and provide management with understanding risk and project quality requirements. This position will have overall responsibility for these items both corporately and at the project level to include site and regional quality and safety audit processes.
Responsibilities
Champion our culture change and behavior-based safety efforts (360° Safety) by conducting safety-compliance and culture-behavioral assessments and audits of our work sites.
Interface with Executive team, Program and Project Managers on all safety and quality processes.
Represents the company regarding all matters of quality/safety compliance and planning.
Develop scope, objectives, work plans, SSHPs, APPs, AHAs, procedures, priorities, and schedule for assessment/audit activities.
Lead assessments/audits to improve the safety, compliance and culture of our operations with a decentralized workforce operating in multiple countries.
Mentor, develop, train, and lead Regional HSSE Staff in performing inter-regional assessments/audits.
Prepare working papers, reports and presentations of findings and recommendations.
Present assessment/audit findings, verbally and in written form, to all levels of the organization.
Track findings and corrective actions and provide management with status updates.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with Operations leadership.
Give guidance and support to the regional and site safety personnel.
Manage special projects related to safety culture change.
Conduct ad-hoc projects to address management safety inquiries or concerns, often requiring coordination among multiple departments, e.g., HR, Legal, Risk Management, IT.
Participate in technical reviews and updating of Corporate HSE Programs.
Participate in incident reviews, including actual and potential SIFs (Serious Injuries & Fatalities).
Maintains OSHA 300 log, accident investigations and reports.
Participates in proposal actions.
Conduct training/audits at Unexploded Ordnance school.
Conduct periodic inspections of project sites to evaluate the documentation and effectiveness of new employees' knowledge of RELYANT CESHM requirements.
Manages and update the Company Management Manual
Prepares Management reviews meetings of the Quality System
Co-ordinates the definition and distribution of Company Procedures
Provides necessary assistance and technical expertise to other Company Units and to projects concerning matters of quality.
Support project team with developing quality plans, inspection and testing methods, quality documentation, and closeout
Allocates Quality personnel to various duties and or projects.
Trains all personnel about Quality System issues management and methodologies and implements the necessary training programs for quality personnel.
Plans and supervises Quality System Audits and evaluates any necessary corrective actions.
Plans and assesses project audit results and analyses of non-conformity.
Proposes preventative measures, promotes, and implements improvement programs.
Support project pursuits and estimating with prequalification, proposals, and identifying quality risks and opportunities.
Oversee compliance with state and federal radioactive licenses for sealed sources.
Maintain knowledge of industry and government requirements, standards and specifications affecting quality
Supervises the definition and implementation of customer satisfaction tools and activities
Prepare quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Ensures that analysis of data coming from projects is forwarded to corporate level.
Manages company document system ensuring its maintenance and updating, cooperating with different company functions.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required; master's degree Preferred. A mixture of experience and certifications may be substituted for educational background experience.
Work Experience: 10-15 years at the corporate level of broad Safety and Health knowledge and experience with regulations, standards, codes, methods and OHS best practices, as well as experience providing corporate level Quality.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) - required.
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) - preferred.
BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Appropriate certifications such as: RSO, COE CQM, ACI, DOT, CCM.
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 experience and PE preferred.
Strong organizational skills, information management proficiency and collaborative management style are needed.
Strong interpersonal skills to establish credibility with colleagues and senior management.
Ability to work through and identify the root cause of problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to conduct audits and gather evidence through observation, interview, and sampling of documents and records.
Must possess and retain a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.
Must be able to acquire and retain valid base access.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Active Security clearance-preferred, or security clearance eligibility for instatement
Travel: Requires up to 40% overnight travel.
