Job Summary
Rakuten Advertising, a dynamic, global digital media and advertising business, is looking for a Business and Corporate Development intern to support the combined businesses of Affiliate, Display, Social, Search.
Reporting to the VP of Business and Corporate Development, this role will have the responsibility of supporting business development and marketing programs as well as other initiatives in the organization. This position will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop internal presentation and client presentation creation across sales, marketing, legal, and corporate development teams.Support vendor and partner discovery and selection, negotiation, and contract execution to continue the growth of the Rakuten Advertising businessPartner with key business groups to analyze business problems and provide input to drive meaningful change in the organizationAssist with any M&A opportunities from evaluation to deal completion
Skills and Experience
Advanced-level skills with PowerPoint and ExcelAbility to manage projects and execute with minimal guidanceSelf-motivated to take ownership of projects and solve problems creativelyPrior experience in a technology company a plusExperience managing complex cross-functional projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact across all levels and to build rapport across the organizationStrong attention to detail
Education & Certifications
Pursuing or graduated with a degree in business or related field
Location
US-based preferably San Mateo, Chicago, New YorkHybrid (3 days/week in office)
At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $20hr-$25hr. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
