Corp Accounts Payable Specialist Golden Entertainment Corporate (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary:
Responsible for performing all financial activities related to the Accounts Payable function of the Finance Department, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and controls.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Match invoices with receivers, purchase orders and requisitions, if applicable
Audit invoices to determine clerical accuracy
Determine that all back up for disbursements is complete and properly authorized for payment including appropriate approvals
Maintain a working knowledge of the system of proper coding of each type of expense item
Prepare vouchers and input data in the computerized accounts payable system
Perform full reconciliation of vendor statements
Deal directly with vendors to solve problems as they arise
Research, authorize, and process for payment, all invoices
Enter necessary information into computer and prints vendor checks to pay invoices in a timely manner
Advise management and respective vendors when an invoice has not been authorized for payment, researches same, and remedies situation
Communicate with all departments with respect to invoices
Basic understanding of GAAP and period posting
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Previous experience performing same or similar job duties
Previous experience with high volume of invoices a must
Previous experience in the food & beverage, gaming, or hospitality industry preferred
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to respond to common inquiries or complaints/questions/concerns
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 21 years of age
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
Physical Requirements
Occasionally push and/or pull up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels
Occasional standing and walking
Frequent sitting and working on a computer
Constant use of hearing and vision, sitting, distinguishing between shades of color, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
