  **Basic Function:

  +:----------------------------------------------------------------------+| || || ----------------------- || --------------------------------------------------------------------- || --------------------------------------------------------------------- || Responsible for proper and safe production of cores, copes an || d drags using patterns and procedures to perform the required tasks. || || Core/Molders must || do a lot of twisting, using mallets, picking things up, and pushing. || || This i || s a physical job that requires a person to be on their feet all day. || || The core/mold maker w || ill utilize work instructions, follow procedures to install chills, l || ocators, vents, risers, pack with sand, season and turn out product. || || Core/Mold makers shall ensure all procedures are being follo || wed and signed, also that the area is clean and free of obstructions. || || ----------------------- || --------------------------------------------------------------------- || --------------------------------------------------------------------- || || |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+

  *General Responsibilities: *

  +:----------------------------------------------------------------------+| 1. Accurate scanning in and out on jobs and the proper reporting of || processed quantities || 2. Wear proper safety equipment; always keep the work area clean and || safe. || 3. Understand customer requirements, our company's internal scrap || challenges, rework, customer || returns, the impact they have on your job and demonstrate the || ability to deliver quality and efficient workmanship. || 4. Review and inspect all material being used, building || self-inspection into everything you make/process. || 5. Complete, date and sign-off on all routing information. || 6. Perform job tasks efficiently according to given standards. || 7. Report any problems or discrepancies to immediate management || . |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+

  *Responsibilities:*

Make sure all equipment and tools are maintained and ready for || use; responsible for documenting necessary repairs with immediate || management. |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+| 2. Ensure everything is done and ready to comply with daily || schedule; maintain proper inventory of all items; notify || supervision of material needs. |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+| 3. Retrieve, inspect, clean and properly put away all patterns and || boxes used during a job. |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+| 4. Understand and be able to assemble materials such as chills, || locators, vents, insulators, risers, etc. Understand types of || sand, chemicals, binders, proper storage, and palmer equipment. |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+| 5. Demonstrate safe operation of hoists and carts used in core || making processes. |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+| 6. Report any problems or discrepancies to immediate management. |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+| 7. Perform other duties as assigned. |+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+

  *Skills:*
