Position Title: Copy Center Technician Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal or Designee Summary:Provides printed materials needed by school personnel for instruction, conferences, special events and meetings. Ensures the safe and efficient operation of reproduction equipment; and delivers completed materials within established timelines. Ensures and maintains a safe and orderly learning environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
Assume duties and responsibilities as assigned by principals.
Operate copying equipment for the printing of pamphlets, reports, brochures, cards, forms, manuals, bulletins, etc. making close adjustments and alignments to achieve clean, legible and well-centered text, illustrations and pictures.
Prepare print jobs to specification (e.g. copiers, binders, packet preparation, etc.) for the purpose of providing materials needed by school personnel for instruction, conferences, special events and meetings.
Act as primary customer services contact for Copy Center; explain policies and procedures and resolve issues related to Copy Center services.
Responsible for compliance with applicable copyright laws; screens material presented for copying to assure compliance.
Inspect copied jobs for the purpose of completing jobs within requested specifications, quality standards and quantity requirements.
Clean equipment and components as needed, remove paper jams, and maintain machines in working order.
Perform clerical and manual work in receiving, storing, mail distribution, and issuing a variety of materials and supplies.
Operate laminating machine.
Operate spiral and velo binding machines.
Inform supervisor of the need of materials and other supplies for the copy center.
Resolve technical problems with equipment and other solutions as necessary. Report any problems with equipment to supervisor.
Provide service, over the phone and in person, with administrators, teachers and support staff.
Complete clerical tasks as assigned and support building administration (e.g. data entry; filing; copying, collating, distributing, ordering, office coverage, etc.) for the purpose of providing assistance with administrative activities.
Ensure and maintain a safe and orderly learning environment in a variety of school settings; i.e., classroom, lunchroom, hallways, field trips, etc.
Provide supervision inside and outside the building, including but not limited to breakfast, lunch, bus duty, classrooms and hallways.
Operate standard school equipment; i.e., computer, copier, audio-visual, etc.
Participate in ongoing professional development specific to District needs.
