Co-op, Quantitative Pharmacology Research

The Quantitative Pharmacology Research (QPR) group in DMPK is seeking a co-op individual to be part of the implementation and development of PK/PD, and data-based (AI/ML) models to drive optimal decision making in the development of therapies in a range of therapeutic areas and modalities. The scope of responsibility will involve aiding the QPR group in the development of machine learning (ML) and quantitative pharmacology approaches to support modality design, lead optimization, and evaluation of First in Human (FIH) dose and regimen recommendations. In support of these activities, the successful incumbent should be able to analyze and interpret preclinical and clinical data and be part of the QPR team that develops modeling and simulation approaches to support critical decision making in drug research.
The QPR/DMPK group supports multiple therapeutic areas and research platforms within the broader R&D organization.
Preferred Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a STEM field (e.g. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field).
Familiarity in developing dynamical (mathematical) and statistical/machine learning models
Familiarity with Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks, and time-series modeling.
Proficiency in Python and deep learning framework and relevant libraries such as RDkit, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, Pandas etc.
Ability to work in a matrix and in a global environment.
Good written, presentation and verbal communication skills are essential.
