Delta Air Lines is excited to offer an exceptional co-op opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Continuous Improvement & Analytics team as a Co-op Analyst at Delta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) hub. This unique program allows you to alternate between school and work, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the operational excellence of one of the world's leading airlines. Over the course of three semesters, you'll play a vital role in enhancing customer experience and optimizing operational processes at our ATL Hub. Successful candidates will be required to pass background checks to obtain the necessary TSA and U.S. Customs and Border Protection credentials granting unescorted access to aircraft and secure areas of ATL.
Key Responsibilities
Commit to a 3-semester structured rotation with the same team, fostering continuity and deep collaboration throughput the co-op experience.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement possibilities throughout the airport.Collect, analyze, and interpret data to find opportunities for operational improvements.Assist in creating data-driven reports and presentations to share findings, progress, and recommendations with stakeholders and leaders.Contribute to designing and executing process improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks.Assist in establishing and maintaining performance metrics, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Engage in data validation, quality assurance, and documentation efforts to ensure precise and consistent analytical outcomes.Collaborate with IT teams to maintain data accuracy, address technical challenges, and optimize data collection procedures.Keep updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in analytics and continuous improvement.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Possess an analytical mindset with the ability to break down intricate problems and devise practical solutions.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Strong communication skills to convey findings, concepts, and suggestions to diverse audiences.Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple projects concurrently while upholding precision.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, capable of effectively working across various departments.A passion for process improvement and an attitude of continuous learningConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
