Job Description

　　Insight Global is looking for a Controls System Software Designer to join a leading automation company. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing automation solutions in a 3 phase process. Phase 1 involves designing and developing Allen Bradley PLC software programs and coding ABB robots to fit the specific requirements of their client. In phase 2, the candidate will be responsible for integrating their designs into the machines on the shop floor and perform all testing/debugging to ensure the program runs accordingly. The final phase requires tearing down the machine to be shipped to the customer site, and traveling to the desired location for reconstruction (travel is optional). The successful candidate will be required to come into the Cambridge location 5 days per week starting mid February.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　5+ years of relevant experience in the field (robotics, PLC, etc)

　　Strong ground up Allen Bradley PLC coding experience

　　Hands on experience with Allen Bradley Servo Motion

　　Hands on experience with Robot Coding (6 Axis Robot)

　　Strong written and oral communication with a self starter attitude

　　Flexible - overtime and weekend work occasionally required

　　Post secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in mechanical, electrical, systems or computer engineering - Robot Coding/Integration Experience using ABB and Yamaha null
