We are in search of a Controller for our team based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a Controller, you will play a critical role in managing financial activities, overseeing credit applications, and maintaining customer records. You will also be expected to monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions. Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all financial activities within the organization
• Process and handle customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
• Monitor customer accounts, identify any issues, and take appropriate actions
• Supervise the preparation of financial statements
• Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Engage in transformative actions to improve departmental functions and processes
• Utilize your skills in Financial Reporting and Financial Statement Preparation to enhance financial transparency and accountability within the organization.

Requirements
• CPA required, wiht a minimum of 7 years of work experience in a relevant role or field.
• Proven proficiency in Financial Reporting and Financial Statement Preparation.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial principles in the insurance industry is strongly preferred.
• Excellent strategic planning skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage and direct company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
• Proficiency in using financial software systems.
• 4+ years of demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
• Experience in presenting and reporting accurate financial information to a board of directors.
