Description
We have partnered with a reputable construction company on their search for a Construction Controller with proven cash flow analysis expertise. In this role, you will oversee and lead a finance department ensuring financial systems that are in place generate revenue and yield to compliance with US GAAP. In this Construction Controller role, you will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s financial health, enforcing a system of controls that minimize risks and accomplishes budget obligations. We are looking for a candidate who can drive cash generation, improve financial accounting systems, and provide management with the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
Major Responsibilities
· Review and manage accounting operations
· Oversee general ledger management
· Cash Management
· Budgeting & Forecasting
· Process vendor payments
· Oversee monthly/quarterly and year-end closing
· Prepare financial statements
· Manage balance sheets
· Account Reconciliations
· Provide financial leadership
· Internal Control Monitoring
· Assist with internal/external audit
· Comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
The ideal Construction Controller will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Other requirements for the Construction Controller role include and are not limited to:
· 10+ years’ experience, 3+ as a Controller or Accounting Manager
· Construction industry experience a MUST
· Experience managing 3+ direct reports
· Any ERP - Sage Construction/Timberline preferred
