We at Robert Half are partnering with a dynamic and growing firm seeking a skilled Controller to join their team.
Responsibilities:
As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Financial Oversight:
Oversee the daily processing of A/R data entry, ensuring accuracy in customer payments.
Manage A/P coding, data entry, and vendor payments to maintain efficient cash flow.
Conduct bank balances and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Financial Reporting and Audits:
Generate timely and accurate financial reports as required by management.
Coordinate and participate in financial audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
General Ledger Management:
Utilize your knowledge of GL processing to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Implement best practices for maintaining a well-organized and up-to-date general ledger.
QuickBooks Expertise:
Utilize QuickBooks to streamline financial processes and maintain accurate financial records.
Leverage QuickBooks functionalities for efficient financial reporting.
Bookkeeping and GAAP Compliance:
Apply your extensive 5 years of bookkeeping experience to maintain precise financial records.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial activities.
Communication and Collaboration:
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in interacting with team members and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in financial goals.
MS Office Proficiency:
Leverage your proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for effective data analysis and reporting.Multi-Tasking and Prioritization:
Showcase your ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads effectively, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Work independently and collaboratively as needed to meet financial objectives.
Ad Hoc Duties:
Be flexible to take on other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the finance team.
Requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience with QuickBooks
Minimum 5 years of Bookkeeping Experience
Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Excel
Ability to multi-task, prioritize accordingly, work with others as well as independently
