What you will be doing
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews, prepares and evaluates agreements in a timely manner in accordance with the standards and established guidelines, with the goal of minimizing the company's exposure to risk.Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to validate content and context of contract to resolve inconsistencies in a timely manner.Support inquiries from stakeholders regarding contracting and compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status.Develop and maintain the COE clause library and playbooks.Responsible for tracking COE contracts across various categories and jurisdictions.Perform final review for approval of legal documents.Participates, communicates and presents information during weekly contracting status calls with business stakeholders.Performs related duties as assigned.Strong understanding of business operational processes, procedures, workflows and business operations.Must have a proactive, creative and analytic approach to continuous improvement in delivering procurement services and identifying new opportunities.Monitor performance in relevant areas according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.Manage & develop the key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor areas of responsibility and identify areas for improvement.
What your background should look like
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Requires training and understanding in fields such as legal, business administration, grant/contract management or similar vocations.Requires up to five (5) years direct experience in contracting and/or law firm experience; working knowledge of reading, writing and understanding the effect of contractual/legal terms and conditions.Experience in procurement preferred.
