Model N is hiring a temporary Global Benefits Manager who wants to make a lasting and positive difference as we scale and grow! As a key member of our Total Rewards team you will help build and elevate Model N’s global benefits strategy, philosophy, programs, policies, and initiatives.
The person in this position reports to the Sr. Director of Total Rewards and will be a key strategic and operational contributor in all benefits and employee well-being related activities across the company. This role can be fully remote within the U.S. This is a temporary assignment to provide leave coverage.
Responsibilities:Drive the strategic direction of the global benefits program to ensure it remains competitive and supports employee well-being in alignment with Model N’s Total Rewards philosophy.Responsible for oversight of all aspects of the global benefits programs in the US, India, Canada and Switzerland, including liaising with local team members, and external vendors/advisers.Possess technical knowledge of the inner workings of global offerings, including healthcare benefits, perks, wellness, retirement and leave programs. Keep current on external trends and best practices, as well as internal business challenges and priorities to continually evaluate, maintain financial oversight and make proactive recommendations for improvements to our global offerings, vendors, brokers/advisers, communication strategies, policies and processes. Develop, implement and maintain an engaging communication and education program to enhance employee awareness of global offerings, including conducting and facilitating regular training sessions to foster a deep understanding and appreciation of our offerings. Proactively partner with internal partners (Employee Experience, HRBPs, Corp Comms, etc.) and external partners on a monthly basis to ensure alignment on communication and education strategies.Provide a high level of customer service to all levels of internal and external customers. Lead global open enrollment and renewal planning processes, including facilitating the alignment of key stakeholders, communication strategy, support for employees in making informed choices, and administrating benefit plan changes and elections. Identify, track and report on Benefits KPIs (e.g., utilization, cost analysis, etc.) on a quarterly basis and regularly review findings, trends and recommendations with internal and external stakeholders. Serve as primary contact for all plan vendors, carriers, and brokers globally; manage ongoing relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products and services. Oversee and administer all LOA requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention.Manage retirement and pension plans globally, including vendor and platform management, 401(k) Committee, and annual compliance and testing.Responsible for management of the systems and technology to support the benefit plans; Works closely with Payroll, HRIS and People Ops to ensure proper day to day administration of benefit changes and enrollments.Partner with our benefits advisers/consultants to ensure compliance with all global requirements related to leave management, reporting and federal, state and local requirements such as ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, GDPR, and HIPAA. Regularly review all benefits processes and procedures to identify new ways of doing things to maximize efficiency, reduce manual work and improve service delivery.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; 8+ years of progressive benefits experience.Expertise in global benefits and applicable laws, specific experience in India benefits preferred. Knowledge of CA state regulations and requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.Exceptionally organized with a meticulous attention to detail.Highly collaborative team player with a proactive mindset; willing to do whatever it takes to help others succeed. Strong decision-making skills. Able to conduct cost-benefit analyses and make sound recommendations.Exceptionally analytical with strong financial and business acumen.Self-sufficient, resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Action-oriented and able to approach challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasmExperience designing and rolling out global benefit programs in the US, Canada, EMEA and India.Experience administering benefits via enterprise-level HRIS, Workday experience required.Ability to be flexible to accommodate meetings with employees in different time zones. CEBS or CBP certification preferred.
