Location: Belgium, Baarle-Nassau
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for all mechanical improvements on our production equipment and process. The Mechanical Engineer designs and construct improvements and custom shielding to improve our process/equipment in terms of safety, efficiency and reliability.
This role will work directly with the [Engineering] team and reports to the [Engineering Head].
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as point of contact for mechanical related questions.
• Manage and coordinate contractors.
• Handle escalations of mechanical related equipment issues and trouble shouting.
• Design and implement mechanical improvements and custom shielding.
• Prepare and execute measurements from Radiosafety perspective to prepare engineering interventions in close collaboration with the radioprotection unit at site.
• Support audits and inspections, as well as support and lead new projects.
• Perform change & safety assessments, and support Job Hazard analysis.
• Manage technical drawings for the site including P&ID's.

Role Requirements
Essential Requirements:
• MBO or HBO degree with sound working experience and with proven track record within Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum level of radiological training: Supervisor radiation protection (dispersible radioactive substances D), or willing to follow this 3 months-training.
• Experience as a key user for Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Good level of English
• Attention to safety, able to work in an organized and structured manner through protocols and standards.
• Attention to detail, ability to look at the process through the eye of the end-user as well as an Engineer.
Desirable Requirements:
• Working experience within (pharmaceutical) GMP and/or radioisotope manufacturing.
• Dutch knowledge
