As Continuous Improvement Coordinator you need to be a passionate and challenge-oriented individual who will promote a positive attitude to change processes. You will support in building the sites capability to deliver Lean improvements through coaching and educating colleagues on Lean thinking. You will be responsible for supporting and delivering all the Lean Continuous Improvement initiatives within agreed timescales and financial targets.
This is a hybrid role and can be based at anyone of our EMEA sites: Ireland (Dublin), Belgium (Ghlin), Finland (Hamina), UK (London). There will be 20% travel required.
What you do on a typical day Ability to deliver on agreed cost savings for the customer. Deliver on the EMEA sites Kaizen and other CI initiatives as agreed. Drive GXO's Sustainability, focus on all waste reduction and H&S targets. Production data collection and process analysis. Spreadsheet modelling and analysis. Process and value stream mapping. Time/motion studies. Standardisation of tasks and processes for all sites. Documentation of procedures and one-point lessons. Educate, coach, challenge and inspire the teams on Lean thinking. Drive a culture of customer focus, data driven decision making, to improve ownership of processes and operational metrics. Quantifying benefits. Drive all Lean CI initiatives (Kaizen, Lean academy etc). Drive the sites Lean Plan, project savings and process improvements. Monitor and measure all results and targets. Gain 'buy in' from all levels of the organization, identifying and managing stakeholders.
What you need to succeed at GXO LEAN Six Sigma trained or equivalent. Experience in deployment in continuous improvement methodology Excellent communication and coaching skills surrounding LEAN thinking. Commitment - Highly motivated, results oriented. Driver of Change, challenge the Status Quo. Relationship building and team player. Excellent communications skills - verbal & written. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently and have a flexible approach. Competent in utilising various IT software packages.
