Eaton's Production team in Sutton is currently looking for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager.
This role will provide leadership and support to the Sutton Plant by driving the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and invigorate the continuous improvement culture throughout our site. The role will partner with departments to identify, solve and recommend possible solutions to unique situations or problems.
What you'll do:
Lead and/or facilitate Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) projects, Eaton Business System (EBS) strategy deployment, Operational Assessment (OpA), EBS Activities, and deploy ELSS through tactical activities and facilitation of kaizen events in major sites.Develop ELSS deployment procedures, policies and systems and own sharing of best practice across the site.Support development of site ELSS knowledge, coach and grow site talent on Continuous Improvement (CI) competencies.Lead development and certification process of a CI Training Programme.Support key business segment's cost effectiveness projects and actions, product cost reduction initiatives and ensure achievement of business benefits determined in each project.Lead, facilitate, coach or support needle-mover projects, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects, including non-Cost Out CI projects and special or turnaround CI projects.Follow up the development and improvement of process and system to enhance and sustain process reliability.Analyse and improve manufacturing, functional and business process using Lean and Six Sigma methods and tools, real-time problem-solving techniques and other statistical and quality improvement tools.Initiate operating principles that focus on process standardisation, visual factory, flow focus, accountability of tier meetings etc..Mentor and support candidates of Lean/Six Sigma Certification programs throughout the certification process.Prepare and conduct ELSS related training for site/functions and develop on-site ELSS knowledge, talent and competency to support business needs.Support the site ELSS/CIF assessment and calibrate for Opportunities for Advancement.
Qualifications:
Min 5 years in leading manufacturing operations and/or continuous improvement.Business Processes improvement experience in facilitating projects for IT, HR, Finance, SCM, Sales & Marketing and other non-manufacturing functions is a plus.Subject matter expert in specified manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, plastics injection, system assembly and electronics/electrical manufacturing process is a plus.Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is preferred.

Lean Tools and MethodologiesSix SigmaPC Literate (MS Teams & Office/Project/Visio; Minitab, Sharepoint); ERP Systems, SAP.Ability to demonstrate understanding of resource, capacity planning and MRP system.Ability to lead effectively and drive alignment across a complex global matrixed environment.
