Our 10-week paid internship program has been developed to provide students with hands-on experience to learn more about the Healthcare industry and the impact to human and animal health. As a Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Analyst Intern, you will work closely with the Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence team to identify and implement process improvements across the organization. You will analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize operations. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to supply chain business and function operations. Use analytical tools and software to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of inefficiency or waste in supply chain processes. Develop innovative solutions to optimize processes and streamline workflows.Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress of continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor KPIs on a regular basis and provide insights on performance trends.Project Management: Assist in managing continuous improvement projects from initiation through completion. Coordinate project activities with internal stakeholders, track milestones, monitor progress, and report updates as required.Documentation: Document process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for improved supply chain operations. Maintain accurate records of project activities, findings, recommendations, and outcomes.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to gather input, validate proposed changes or improvements, and ensure successful implementation of initiatives.Communication: Prepare clear and concise reports/presentations summarizing findings from data analysis or project updates. Present insights/recommendations to management or relevant stakeholders as needed.Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management. Actively seek opportunities for professional growth through training programs or certifications related to continuous improvement methodologies.
What your background should look like
Currently pursuing a bachelor's in supply chain management or a related field.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or Tableau.Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles is preferred.Excellent problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.Effective communication skills to present complex information clearly.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as demand planning, inventory management, logistics optimization is beneficial but not required.
