The Content Marketing Strategist builds and leads campaign content strategy, framework, and optimization across multiple audience segments and delivery channels to attract, engage, build trust, preference, and loyalty for our distributors and consumers. The Content Marketing Strategist will collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure strategies are aligned with the goals of the organization and will work closely with other Creative and Digital teams to consult on execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Deeply understands business goals, audience segments, and purchase funnels.Builds the content anatomy of integrated initiatives based on business goals, including campaign hierarchies and their related programs/offers/tactics, funnel stages, and message hierarchies.Collaborates with other functional leaders to support resourcing and workflow needs to establish content creation efficiency with internal and external teamsIndirectly influences a creative and digital team to carry out the vision and strategy. Audits and/or signs off on work to ensure flawless execution of the brand and content strategy. Collaborates and works with a variety of stakeholders and incorporates opinions and thoughts without losing the key theme.Understands and communicates technical subjects clearly, concisely, and engagingly.Collaborates with IM planners, UX content strategists, and analytics partners to understand marketing performance and adapt messaging and channels, based on performance metrics.Follows the marketing process to meet legal, compliance, and internal audit standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:10+ years of content marketing strategy experience, with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism or communications or related fieldProven track record as an innovative and collaborative content marketing strategist – with a background in content B2B marketing (specifically financial services, and ideally in life and annuities), copywriting, or journalismStrong analytical skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and enthusiasm for data-driven marketingAbility to manage tight deadlines and hold team members to deadlinesHigh-level thinker who also has a penchant for keeping track of detailsAbility to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organizationExcellent written communication and presentation skillsExperience in influencing, mentoring, and coaching a team of creative professionalsExcellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict-resolution skillsExcellent and persuasive communicator
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
