Resumen
The accountant will be a part of the Controllership team responsible for closing the books for Mexico Operations W&S business.
This individual will be responsible for performing the personnel accounting duties related to Mexico Operations in proper compliance with US GAAP. The accountant should be comfortable performing various analyses with levels of difficulty ranging from intermediate to complex. This individual must be able to perform analytical steps to validate amounts provided by various stakeholders to assess the reasonability of the impact being proposed. The accountant must possess a keen attention to detail. Being self-driven will serve well in this role also. This position must have excellent communication skills and maintain a high level of professionalism to support senior level finance and human resource business partners throughout W&S business group.Some of the core responsibilities for this role include: bonus comp accrual, severance expense adjustments and other general
payroll activities for the business. In this role, you will report to the Finance, also based in Guadalajara. The accountant will be a supporting partner for all
personnel related activities, internal and external, as it relates to the Mexico operations.

Responsabilidades
1.Run postings for manual transactions through monthly activities. Recording preliminary documents sent by the different financial processes and their own, ensuring each of them meets the essential requirements for their execution (documentary support, approvals, compliance with accounting rules) aligned with GAAP and SOX regulations. (P) To introduce quality information to the books for the subsequent creation of financial statements
2.Daily analysis of balance sheet transactions
Through the format defined in the process, reviewing the day-to-day activities of the financial processes, ensuring that there are no inconsistencies in the automatic postings recorded and maintaining a list with the most relevant operations for subsequent monitoring. To ensure the correct accounting of records prior to the closing of the month and to promptly communicate any possible inconsistency.
3.Maintenance of pre-closure activities.
Ensuring to have the necessary accounts enabled for the registration of relevant operations prior to the freeze of master data, following up on transactions received from corporate and maintaining follow-up on items in reconciliation or problems presented during the closing of the previous month, in addition to validate the provisions required in the current month. Ensure quality month-end and avoid unnecessary problems
4.Month closing execution.
Appropriate usage of transactions in SAP for foreign currency revaluations, material level postings for inventory valuation, as well as ensuring variance analysis as financial processes complete their activities and associated reconciliations (e.g. Payroll , Fixed Assets, Inventories, travel expenses, treasury, etc.), ensuring the necessary intercompany reconciliations, and validating all costs are
appropriately recognized including provisions prior to the execution of closing critical processes such as Inventories. Subsequently generate financial statements and document with comments of significant variations prior to the review by the Accounting Leader and Manager, sign and document the closing integrity list. Keep financials records on compliance according to company and law policies.
5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while understanding when to communicate updates, follow up, and seek guidance from management.
6.Review and communicate detailed variance analysis to upper management.
7.Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
8.Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed in your area of responsibility.
9.Work closely with the accounting policy team to evaluate complex accounting issues and execute agreed-upon accounting treatment on these transactions.
10.Responsible for the accounting of Mexico Operations with a high interaction to Senior Manager and Director level. Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with members of the Accounting Controllership, Finance business
partners and stakeholders
11.Responsible for ensuring proper internal controls are being performed and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP and established SOX requirements and procedures. Work closely with external
audits to support interim and year-end audits.
12.Assist where needed in the testing of any activity to serve the SAP S/4 HANA initiative.
