About the job:
The Consulting/Principal Software Engineer Software Engineer is a key role providing expert-level technical leadership in large multifunctional development initiatives. The role involves complex problem-solving, writing advanced code, and serving as a senior source of expertise in modern application design and development. Responsibilities also include providing recommendations on project sizing and budgeting.
You’ll be responsible for:
Acting as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources. - Providing design input and technical guidance across product development. - Directly engaging with customers and end users. - You will be acknowledged as a “go-to” expert on coding and technical issues. - You will Interface with technical team members to finalize requirements. - Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components. - Resolving complex bugs and oversee complex data model designs. - Mentoring and leading software developers, providing guidance on development methodologies and optimization techniques. Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Engineering.- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.Technical Skills:- Proficiency in software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).- Advanced expertise in data modeling, design, optimization, and industry best practices.- Proficient in test-driven development and maintenance.- Deep knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.- Advanced skills in Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and other development languages (Java/J2EE, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL).- Experience with GCP, GitHub, Jira, and modern application design and development.- Solid understanding of architectural principles.- Strong proficiency in data manipulation and optimization techniques.- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and reprioritize projects.
