Amentum is currently seeking a Construction Safety Professional for our Fort Meade/Annapolis Junction, Maryland area.
Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Ability to manage a safety program for a project.
Ability to coordinate with the customer effectively and efficiently.
Ability to oversee, plan and coordinate/collaborate with Subcontractors.
Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
Conducting safety inspections and audits
Investigating accidents and incidents and developing corrective actions
Providing safety training to employees
Maintaining safety records and reports
Managing safety programs
Advising on safety measures, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures
Promoting a safe workplace, providing training, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety.
Coordinating with the Customers safety representatives
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 Years in Construction Safety Management Field
In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
Must hold 30-hour OSHA certification.
Must hold OHST, CHST or equivalent certification.
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and teach a team.
Great attention to detail
Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to obtain/maintain an active United States Top Secret Government Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related field.
