Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for projects related to municipal water infrastructure including treatment facilities, pump stations and pipelinesRead and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsCollaborate with other field representatives, Project Managers and engineering design teams including site/civil, process, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls engineers as well as architectsCoordinate special inspections of masonry, reinforcement and field weldingProvide assistance with construction administration support including responding to RFIs, review of shop drawings, initial review of payment applications, schedule review and preparing meeting agendas and follow-up summary notesPerform other duties as needed*LI-CA1QualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent3 years water/wastewater project or civil construction experienceProficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)Proven problem-solving and documentation abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamThis position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testingAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred QualificationsCompletion of technical/trade school or Associate degreeIndustry CertificationsCertified Construction Manager certification is a plusWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
