Job Description Summary
As a member of C&C Team, you will be responsible to
• Ensure interface approach in all areas between Construction Activities (Erection & Commissioning both) and Engineering.
• Support the execution team by providing technical clarification / resolution to the Customer queries.
• Assist STO with the technical documentation i.e. for erection & commissioning to the site execution team & the M&E erection contractor.
• Review the STO & Construction engineering works across sites.
• Comply with the Quality and EHS rules from the project, business, sector and corporate within the own area of activity.
• Ensures timely submission & approval of relevant project execution documents from Customer & Internal site team.
• Ensures that he is always up to date for the available new technologies and the current codes and standards.
• In general, the Construction Engineer complies with the Plant Business Management System MEGA, the Plant Business Manuals (PBM), Project Engineering File (PEF), the Project Management File (PMF), Site management file (SMF) and applies the imposed tools.

Your Role:
Analysis of tender documentation for Construction activities: identify specific requirements, possible deviations, and risks.Clarification of scope of Erection and Commissioning activities to execution team including M&E contractor with respect to contract.Participation in preparation of DOW with Partners for Construction activities.Participation in technical tender and constructability reviewsResponsible for Erection Sub-contracting Specification and BOQ
Piping prefabrication and supply activity in workshop, support to sites for piping prefabrication, if done at site. Continuous monitoring of the evolution of bulk material for piping, hangers and valvesPreparation of Technical Documentation and Erection Subcontracting / partnership agreementsTechnical analysis of offers.Verification of BOQ for Erection subcontracts. Continuous monitoring of evolution of quantities and consequences (resources, schedules, costs)Preparation of Unit price Schedules for Erection subcontracts; including tools for modifications pricingCollection of information from sites on productivity of erection contractors for all activitiesUpdating and maintaining a comprehensive and reliable database to be used for tendering and progress calculation.Updating of progress in calculation tools for erection workDetail responsibilities in case of modularizationCo-ordination of all project-involved parties in regard to BOQ and erection specificationsPreparation of technical files (Construction Packages) containing BOQs and erection specificationsOrganize the Construction Packages (CPs) by scope and content.Co-ordinate with construction department regarding the various Construction PackagesSupport to construction department during subcontract enquiries and technical clarificationsProvide regular BOQ inputs to construction department based on engineering progress.Construction Preparation:
Participate in technical reviews and piping strategy meetings.Continuous updating and monitoring of all BOQs.Crosscheck piping isometrics for construction specific issues before they are Released For PrefabricationCreate the Pressure Test documentation.Provide user training and support for the Master/Material Tracking Application (MTA)Prepare / update Standard Erection Procedures for FGD/WSC/ROP mechanical equipment.Prepare Erection Inspection and Test Program / Plan (ITP/ITPL's for FGD/WSC/ROP mechanical equip.)Prepare NDT Test Scope for FGD, WSC and ROPTransmit Erection Documentation for Plant scope (FGD/WSC/Piping/ROP) to site (Released for Construction)Construction Support:
Briefing of site supervisors and personnel during their preparation in the home officeCollect site experience feedback (as erected quantities) and feed back to tendering and execution department.Co-ordinate with construction department regarding the various Construction PackagesRepresent the assigned scope at meetings with the customer if required.Provide user training and support for the Master/Material Tracking Application (MTA).Provide training and support to site execution team including M&E contractor for understanding of use & structure of erection & commissioning documentation.Support in claim negotiations and preparation of relevant documentation and facts.Manage site execution team to update return of experience log sheet.
Basic Qualifications(requirements):
Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical engineering appropriate to the technical activity involved4-7 years' experience in Power Plant of capacity 500 MW / construction site with Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical & Instrumentation installation / Erection related projects for power plants.Nice to have knowledge of FGD & TI process & system.Excellent management skillsExcellent capabilities in the explanation of complex technical and working processes.Strong negotiation skills
Desired Qualifications (Nice to have):
Good skills in the use of computer applications and computer tools (Microsoft Office, Access)Has a good knowledge of Engineering, Design and Project Management tools and methodsElectrical / I & C Erection & Commissioning experienceProblem solving methodology like 8D or equivalent
