Job Description Summary:
Responsible for performing complex analysis aimed at improving portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting and operational performance for consumer products and the related divisions such as credit cards. While this position has no direct people management responsibilities, it does require the ability to interact with business partners both within and external to the department. This position requires being the subject matter expert on multiple business-related and technical-related topics and an ability to independently drive strategic improvements. Key functions involve owning asset quality monitoring, identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, and executing strategic enhancements. Responsible for conducting interviews, training, Card Strategy Management / Consumer Product Analysts, and mentoring less tenured analysts. Communicates business trends creates financial assessments and interprets risk analytics for senior management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team. Detailed knowledge of SAS / SQL, financial statements, and business processes preferred. Sound knowledge of SAS / SQL, financial statements, and business processes preferred. 5+ years Strategic Analysis experience preferred.
Fraud Prevention and Detection is looking for an analytical lead to support the Digital Self-Service team. In this role, you will be expected to oversee the self-service reporting, analyze self-service processes, and partner with stakeholders during project deployments. The Digital Self Service team is tasked with driving efficiency in client contact and fraud alert resolution through digitization and cutting edge technology deployment. Client communications are geared towards fraud and scam mitigation, client experience maximization, and production functionality awareness. A successful candidate will have strong technical acumen to drive analytical insights, and test and validate capability deployments. They will have strong organizational and communication skills to manage cross team projects spanning Fraud, Product, Technology, Finance etc. to design intelligent requirements, drive timeline adherence while influencing at Sr. exec levels. The candidate will be tasked with both project management and analytical exercises that include self-service insights and judgmental alert prioritization.

Responsible for conducting interviews, training, Card Strategy Management / Consumer Product Analysts, and mentoring less tenured analysts. Communicates business trends creates financial assessments and interprets risk analytics for senior management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team.
Sound knowledge of SAS / SQL preferred. Strategy implementation/execution experience preferred. 5+ years strategic analysis experience preferred.
Required Skills:
• Advanced analytical, critical thinking and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability in using data and metrics to identify root causes
• Strong knowledge / proficiency in SAS/SQL and Excel with ability to navigate a complex environment and manipulate large sets of data
• Demonstrated ability to drive collaborative efforts with advanced tools and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base
• Experience handling assessments and determining impacts
Desired Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of Brainiac application
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, Java
• Knowledge of data extraction tools such as Hive will be useful
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science (or related discipline)
• 5+ years of analytical experience
• 5+ years of Fraud industry experience
• Leadership and management skills, including development of teams and individuals
