Position Details:
This is a full-time (40 hours per week Monday-Friday) position located at 450 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, CT. The selected candidate will be required to travel to project sites and must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
Position Responsibilities:
Familiarization with state and federal brownfields laws and regulations;
Assisting and advising clients through the project implementation process and related duties to assist with the functioning of the OBRD;
Reviews and analyzes draft RFPs and contractor/consultant bid packages from clients to check for consistency with DECD/state procurement guidelines
Manages assessment and remediation projects including but not limited to finalizing the scope of work, resolving issues with client’s team (including the Licensed Environmental Professionals) handling payment reimbursements
Handles the project requirements as per the CT Environmental Policy Act
Handles project closeouts
Coordinates and collaborates with other units and agencies as needed

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)
In a state agency this class is accountable for mastering the skills necessary to satisfactorily complete the training program for a professional position.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
In a department or institution receives training in introductory governmental work for development of skills and knowledge in field of public administration in order to qualify for advancement into agency professional positions;

Experience reviewing, analyzing or preparing environmental site assessments
Experience reviewing, analyzing or preparing reports with data
Experience in environmental remediation, abatement or cleanup work
Field experience coordinating and managing environmental work
Experience in real estate or construction work
