Demonstrates extensive capabilities and/or a proven record of accomplishment as a team leader in a consulting or complex transportation industry environment. Displays extensive expertise in Transportation Management Systems and related processes, including:
Leveraging TMS knowledge to assist clients in the implementation and support of TMS packaged solutions, with emphasis on designing, implementing, and supporting Supply Chain processes and solutions;Defining, designing, and overseeing transportation operations, procedures, operating models, route optimization, carrier management, cost structures, freight settlement, and performance analytics;Leading comprehensive TMS designs, understanding standard necessary configurations, and TMS software customization;Guiding clients and project teams in TMS testing, User Acceptance testing, training formulation and execution;Working experience with prominent TMS vendors and leading TMS projects with these vendors;Proven excellence in project management, directing both direct and indirect reports in a matrixed and multi-level setting;Proven aptitude to work with intricate transportation data and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.) to pinpoint overall supply chain and transport design opportunities, model alternative strategies, and spearhead business case formation to endorse design decisions and capital needs;Managerial-tier leadership experience with recognized TMS systems;Understanding of overall supply chain market best practices, transportation trends, and the integration of systems like ERP, TMS, Visibility, WMS, and automation controls;Understanding the development and design of robust transportation operations metrics and reporting structure to maximize the impact of implemented TMS systems;Transportation sourcing, including spend analysis and baselining, sourcing event execution, carrier selection / management and rate implementation;Transportation execution including tendering processes, carrier management and performance reviews, service level evaluations and exception management; and,Reducing the number of preferred carriers and developing prearranged and pre-authorized modes of transportation for standard and premium vendor shipments.
