Overall Objective and Purpose
To perform daily tasks involved in the efficient operation of the Control Room, with the support of a Senior Operator under the supervision of the Control Room/Data Center Supervisor. Responsibilities may also include cabling, racking and server installations.
Responsibilities
• Demonstrate a relentless commitment to meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations.
• Achieve the goal of reducing the risks and costs of providing services.
• Work to build an effective partnership with the customer daily.
• Monitor logical security according to established tools, policies and procedures.
• Execute, validate, track, follow up on, and escalates internal and external customer requests according to established guidelines.
• Perform moderate-level troubleshooting of systems and servers related to the Central Systems, Middleware, Applications, and existing tools according to established procedures with moderate supervision.
• Perform moderate-level network monitoring and troubleshooting by confirming availability and connectivityusing tools for the verification of services.
• Perform moderate-level troubleshooting of network technologies related to IP network devices and backbone transports according to established procedures.
• Detecting, reporting, escalating and documenting anomalies according to established procedures.
• Accurately execute, validate, and recover defined processes in the operational checklists to ensure that all draw processing, day-end processing, system balancing, file system maintenance, change requests, report/file transfers and deliveries, messaging and jackpot details, system locations/configurations, and internal/external customer requests are completed.
• Submit recommendations to create and/or maintain operational procedures and checklists.
• Adhere to service level agreements by following established SLA performance requirements.
• Adhere to IT best practices by following established IT best practice performance and audit requirements.
• Support local testing of policies and procedures.
• Participate in individual professional development by completing assigned development plans, participating in mentoring activities, tracking and reporting development, and communicating career path goals and objectives.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Internet access is required to facilitate remote working when the need arises.
Qualifications
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Bachelor's Degree or IT Certifications applicable to the position.
EXPERIENCE
Entry Level experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting and escalating anomalies.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Windows OS, Linux OS, Microsoft Office and other network monitoring applications.
