Infrastructure architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based computing systems that can seamlessly integrate with other applications and platforms within Garrett. The role ensures the security, scalability, performance, and reliability of the cloud infrastructure and the integration solutions.
Summary of the key tasks
Analyze the business requirements and technical specifications of the business and propose the best cloud solutions to fit the needs. Design and configure the cloud infrastructure using various tools and services (e.g. AWS, SDWAN) Implement and test the cloud infrastructure and ensure its functionality and compatibility with the existing systems. Design and develop the integration strategies and solutions using various methods and technologies, business process automation and orchestration tools, etc. Implement and test the integration solutions and ensure their security and interoperability with the cloud infrastructure and other applications and platforms. Monitor and troubleshoot the cloud infrastructure and the integration solutions and resolve any issues or incidents that may arise. Optimize and update the cloud infrastructure and the integration solutions to improve their efficiency and security. Document and communicate the cloud architecture and the integration architecture and best practices to the stakeholders and team members.
Education / Qualifications
Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Experience
Working experience in infrastructure architecture or a similar role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions both On-premise and cloud - preferably automobile industry
Key Skills and Knowledge
In-depth understanding of infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, networks, virtualization, cloud computing, and data centers. Proficiency in infrastructure design frameworks and methodologies. Strong architectural and analytical skills to assess business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable infrastructure designs. Knowledge of security best practices, protocols, and technologies, including network security, encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and vendors. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Relevant certifications in infrastructure architecture or related areas, TOGAF or similar certification
