The MIT Client, Compute and Storage (MCCS) service is part of the MIT Infrastructure global organization.
Our team installs, integrates, tests, configures, and supports a host of factory clients and servers supporting Windows, UNIX, Virtual Machines (VMs) and on-prem Cloud environments, plus the storage environments for critical factory data. The team members co-ordinate customer requirements and deliver the technical infrastructure solutions. They utilize advanced troubleshooting skills and Model Based Problem Solving (MBPS) methodologies to solve MIT systems issues. Members actively participate in virtual factory (VF) working groups to drive continuous improvement and achieve systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.
In this position, you will be responsible for production operational support to Manufacturing Information Technology (MIT) Infrastructure Systems. It's an important individual contributor position that supports segment of IT that is chartered to deliver high availability, reliability, resilient, and cost effective manufacturing computing services to enable TMG Fab/Sort factories, Assembly/Test factories and labs success. You will be responsible for all hosted components (Servers, Storage and Client Computing) and delivering hosting operations service according to agreed SLA's, this role has responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Incident handling by performing troubleshooting, diagnosing, fixing and/recovery issues in hosting environments
- Problem Management on root cause analysis and drive system improvement.
- Alerts/Events Monitoring and Service Request fulfillment.
- Sustaining and improving the Infrastructure Computing Services
- Change Management on systems deployments, installing/patching/scaling the infrastructure.
- Willingness to work in unstructured environments with uncertainty and ambiguity and be able meet target results.
- Requires developing partnerships and collaborations with Technology Development (TD) team and partner IT organizations for successful execution of infrastructure solution and delivering world class operational support.

Qualifications
Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.- Great experience in compute platforms such as Windows Server, UNIX and LINUX, Virtual Machine administration, OpenVMS, etc.- Great knowledge on SAN/NAS platforms (EMC VMAX, 3Par, NetApp, etc.)- Good knowledge of Cloud Technologies - Docker, Container, Kubernetes, Rancher, Trident, AWS, etc.- Experience in Microsoft SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) technology and with the ability to setup and configure SCOM tool to improve the agility and performance of infrastructure system.- Good Scripting experience on a variety of platforms (C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, vbscript, Python, Bash)would be an added advantage.- High degree of technical knowledge in computing infrastructure components, security, data centers, network technologies and IP stack (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, etc.).- Strong analytical, communication, technical problem solving skills and great project management skills.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
