Job Description Summary
The Evendale Composites Engineering Technical Associate is part of the advanced Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) Development Lab in the Engineering division. This role applies hands-on experience to support development activities related to composite part manufacturing, inspection, and assembly.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
The employee will be required to follow documented work instructions to manually lay-up composite designs and to follow inspection plans to ensure the quality of the articles/products manufactured. The specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Read, understand, and execute detailed work instructions
Accurately hand place composite material patterns over custom molds, precision tools, or composite work pieces Understand and operate composite material molding and processing equipment
Use hand tools to trim, cut, or grind composite components
Maintain and clean composite product tooling
Accurately complete paperwork and system transactions to ensure composite component traceability
Qualifications/Requirements :
Associates degree in an applicable technical discipline (i.e. Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technologies Electronic Technology, Chemical Technology, etc.) and/or a high school diploma (or GED equivalent) with a least one year of work experience in a relevant fieldDesired Characteristics:
