Reporting to the Engineering Manager in this day-based role, you will ensure the safe effective operation of various types of equipment to deliver safe and reliable performance, compliant with all applicable regulations and conformance to site standards. This position requires an individual with strong organisational, planning, scheduling and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of people. A committed and flexible approach, ability to coordinate and manage multiple work packages and self-motivation to be results oriented.

About You
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
Manage a range of site contracts to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance and in accordance with any additional written schemes of examination/examiner requirements.Manage site contracts and schedule, supervise, co-ordinate inspections associated all equipment within this requirement within the frequencies, timeframes of their next inspection due date.Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations associated with lifting equipment and pressure vessels.Manage and maintain site register for lifting equipment (LOLER) and pressure vessels (PSSR).Manage and maintain site register for weighing equipment and ensure calibration to meet Product Safety/Quality systems.Manage and maintain site register for testing equipment and ensure calibration to meet Product Safety/Quality systems.Maintain statutory and vendor records, files documentation and update relevant electronic portals.Review and approve method statements and risk assessments including additional assessment for high-risk activities.Issue relevant permit to works, based on task and carry out the duties/requirements of a Supervising Officer.Schedule, communicate and liaise with all Assets to ensure equipment is available for inspection and/or remedial work.Fully utilise SAP PM system to reflect current status of all assets subject to regulatory & statutory compliance.Provide Asset support and be a point of escalation to arrange external vendor/contractor support.Manage allocated budgets, forecast expenditure and utilise SAP to raise Purchase Requisitions to ensure financial & budgetary control.
What you'll bring...
Significant experience in a technical/planning role in a manufacturing facility.Significant experience in the technical and operations areas and a broad working knowledge of a range of equipment types.Experience and understanding of regulatory and statutory compliance.Experience and understanding of equipment maintenance including calibration and testing to meet safety/quality specifications.Good interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of people and excel in a wider team environment, with a 'hands on' approach to problem solving and strong computer literacy skills.Demonstrated experience of equipment isolation procedures and the supervision of contractors.
