Compliance Advisor Manager (Tech/External Affairs)
This role will directly support the ES Compliance Officer and will interface with the business legal, risk and functional areas in the implementation of the compliance management program supporting our Technology and External Affairs business units within Enterprise Services. This role will support activities to ensure the business complies with applicable laws and regulations. The Compliance Advisor will apply risk, process management, and analytical skills to drive actions in support of program objectives. The Compliance Advisor is responsible for delivering quality results and is a highly motivated, forward thinking self-starter who can work autonomously, is quick to adapt, technologically adept, a problem solver, and an adaptive learner.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor with product, business and risk teams to identify, document and effectively mitigate compliance riskDevelop innovative approaches to drive regulatory compliance in a way that enables business growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting regulatory demandsCoordinate across, business, risk and and compliance teams to meet requirements outlined in the Compliance Management ProgramPerform compliance risk assessments and document results for contribution in senior management level reportingReview business risk compliance monitoring results and periodically validate that monitoring processes/methods are reliableLead/participate in cross-functional and enterprise-wide compliance projects, programs and initiatives as requestedRepresent Compliance through active participation on project teams by providing compliance expertise, advocacy, and role model leadership.Staying abreast of relevant compliance and employment laws, practices, and issues affecting the business environment, domestically and internationally.
The ideal candidate will possess:

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Military experienceAt least 5 years of experience in a risk, compliance, or legal role
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 6 years of experience in a risk, compliance, or legal role working in a FinTech or Financial Institution along-side Technology partners
