Job Summary:
The Communications Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing integrated communications projects on behalf of the Labcorp Communications team. In this role, the incumbent will assist in planning and tracking projects including social media, external communications, internal communications and crisis monitoring, to ensure timelines are met and projects are completed in a timely manner.
The Communications Project Manager will be expected to develop and monitor project timelines, develop templates, participate in planning sessions, monitor updates and identify missing action items across the Communications team with a focus on social media, press releases and media monitoring activities.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled relationship builder with very strong organizational, communications and project management skills. The individual should also have experience in partnering with agencies. The individual should also have experience working in global, matrixed environments.
Responsibilities/Duties
Support Labcorp communications initiatives by:
Overseeing communications projects through their entire lifecycleEstablishing and maintaining timelines for integrated communications campaignsCommunicating timely project updates to team leadsAssigning project roles and responsibilities, as neededCoordinating campaigns with agency partnersAssisting the team with prioritization of projectsMonitoring projects status in Workfront and other project management toolsTracking budgets when applicableOwning and managing a unified communications content and campaign calendarMaintaining a crisis communications monitoring trackerDeveloping social media content to support Communications initiativesManage content and campaign calendars that outline social media content.Manage and execute social media projects with marketing and agency teams. Collaborate with broader social media and content team on channel-specific social media strategies.Coordinating campaign, monthly and quarterly communications metrics reportsAssisting in team meeting agendasManaging vendor contracts and invoicesLeading Global Center of Excellence social media team of 2 -3 team members with a focus on daily project management
Experience:
6-8 years of experience in communications, directly managing projectsAt least 2 years in a managerial roleStrong experience in Microsoft 365 tools including Planner, Power Platform, Project, Teams, Excel & PowerpointExperience with project management tools (Workfront, Trello, Asana, Basecamp, Smartsheet, etc.)Experience with social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Spredfast, Sprout, Khoros, etc.
Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses:
Background in Healthcare or Biopharmaceutical Industry a plusDegree with a concentration in communications, journalism, public relations or project management preferredCertification in project management a plus
