The Intel Global Communications Group is an international team of communications professionals spanning media relations, reputation management, corporate communications, executive communications, analyst relations, thought leadership and employee communications. The Southeast Asia Communications manager is a full-time position based in Singapore and reports to the Head of Communications for Asia Pacific and Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
As with all Global Comms employees you will be a champion of the corporate narrative and are expected apply it as well as promote its use with your stakeholders.
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders based in Southeast Asia in Sales and Marketing Group (SMG), Government Affairs and at the Intel Sites in Malaysia. Help the leadership team develop their messaging platform via media training and establish their media presence via opinion pieces, interview opportunities and external speaking engagements.
Use news moments, product launches and case studies as storytelling opportunities and how Intel technology is impacting human lives in a positive way.
Work collaboratively with the business teams to identify and consistently raise the bar on thought leadership stories that will further promote the Intel brand in region.
Collaborate cross functionally with local marketing, social media, employee comms and public affairs teams to work on a 360-degree communications approach for maximum impact.
Develop and maintain direct relationships with key reporters and influencers in SEA, while managing a network of agencies for broader outreach.
Manage local media and providing support to stakeholders during any issues/crises from a communications perspective.
Serve as a first line of defense as a company spokesperson.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, ideally with a mix of work experience on the agency and client side.
Prior experience working in the tech industry.
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Journalism
Oral or written communications in Bahasa, or Thai
Personal Qualities:
Being able to work well with a culturally diverse workforce.
Ability to manage challenging situations with difficult stakeholders.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get in the trenches.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Innovator and risk taker.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
