Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Pursuits the Communications Manager will partner with the Environmental Services (ES) Leadership team to develop and execute an annual Environmental Services Communications Calendar to target internal and external communications to support knowledge transfer, increase employee engagement and leverage ES technical excellence in the marketplace.
Your Key Responsibilities
By working as part of Environmental Services Strategic Pursuits leadership team, help support the go to market planning, celebrate the wins and accomplishments.
Define winning propositions and key differentiators.
Working with the Director of Strategic Pursuits establish and implement an ES Communications Calendar for internal and external communications.
Work to create a standard procedure for internal and external communications, to increase efficiencies and promote engagement with content.Target internal and external communications to support knowledge transfer and leverage ES technical excellence in the marketplace.Work with BC leadership and regional PR team to provide oversight and direction on ES marketing and communications platforms including targeted publications, e-campaigns.As a lead on the Environmental Services Strategic Pursuits team:
Establish cross functional team, roles, assignments, and schedule, manage workload to ensure the timely and compliant accomplishment of deadlines and complete deliverables.Work with technical staff/Subject Matter Experts to develop communications content.Help ensure the compliance with corporate requirements.Develop and mentor marketing and communication staff.
Support and leverage all the Environmental Services Strategic pursuits team.Leverage and build additional team members in Pune and Manila.Responsible for the guidance, supervision, and performance of direct reports.Manage team workload.Function as a knowledge resource and leader for team members.Collaborate and build working relationships with other Business Units and MCPR to break down silos and engage growth across the region.
Ensuring high quality, consistent look and feel for internal and external communications and presentations, compliant with Stantec brand standards.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities & Credentials
Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practice.
Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
Ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities.
Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients, internally and externally.
Ability to work effectively within a group as well as independently motivated with minimal supervision.
Commitment to client service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent interviewing, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong presentation skills in small or large group environments, with proficiency in presentation support tools (e.g., PowerPoint).
Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Desires to connect the vision of the company to his/her job.
Possess a sense of ownership and humor!
Education/Experience
Post-Secondary in business, sales and/or marketing.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a senior marketing role in a medium to large-sized organization.
