Overview
The PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) Brand Communications team is looking for a Communications Manager to join their team of dynamic brand communicators. This role contributes the development and execution of successful internal and external facing strategies for several of PBNA's sports and fitness brands. Reporting to the Communications Director, the position will require exemplary strategic communications skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of how to win with our consumers.
Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for leading the following:
Strategic planning to build communications plans that drive business growth for Gatorade and other PepsiCo sports and fitness brands.Contributing to the development and execution of culturally breakthrough brand communications programming; delivering meaningful earned media results that drive brand health.Developing strong relationships with key, cross-functional partners across disciplines including marketing, legal, consumer relations, R&D / Nutrition as well as other corporate communications colleagues.
Coordinating with partners to protect brand/company reputation and ensure timely and effective reactive communications and issue/crisis management.
Supporting the management of day-to-day agency partners.
Qualifications
6-8 years communications experience; prior experience in sports PR is preferred.Chicago preferred, but open to PepsiCo HQ locations.Media relations expertise: rich experience across sports, fitness, trade and consumer verticals with a deep understanding of modern earned channels.Proven understanding of the latest consumer and cultural trends; specifically as it relates to:The sports world and our athlete targetGen ZAn insights driven, creative point-of-view.Considerable event management experience.Outstanding collaboration skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Proven ability to interact with and council executive leadership.High proficiency writing, creative ideation, multi-tasking and collaboration.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate with agility.Must be willing and able to conduct occasional travel 10 - 15% of time.Bachelor's degree required, ideally in English, Communications, PR or related field.
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,700 - $165,150 based on a full-time schedule.Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salaryBonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.
