About the Role
We're looking for someone who wants to fundamentally change the way people think about the role of technology in providing meaningful solutions to tough challenges. An experienced communicator to lead our efforts in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, devising and executing communications strategies, and proactively pitching stories while handling reactive inquiries in a busy and fast-paced office.
The Communications team focuses on telling our story in mobility and delivery. Our mission is to be good storytellers, to talk about tech for good, to balance reactive and proactive pitches that contribute to strengthening the company's reputation, to build positive relationships with media and key partners, and to respond to critical issues.
What the Candidate Will Do
Own the development of Uber's profile with the media and third partiesHelp define strategic narratives and bring them to life through creative communications activities.Tell our story of mobility, delivery, and economic impact in ways that resonate with journalists, their audiences, and third-party stakeholders.Rapid response media relations and proactive press engagementPartner with global and regional communications teams to lead campaigns that promote and enhance the overall reputation of UberWriting in all its formsHandle external agencies
What the Candidate Will Need

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in corporate communicationsEnglish and Spanish proficiencyHas worked in a fast-paced environment and faced complex issuesUnderstands the media landscape and its influence on regulatory debatesCan dive into new projects and engage with executives in business mattersAmazing storyteller with excellent writing skills
