The Marketing department is a highly collaborative team of professionals who work closely with practice groups and sectors to build the reputation of our lawyers.
The internal communications team collaborates with internal firm stakeholders to craft, produce and promote internal news across the firm, from developing message strategy, channel delivery and content design, to production and distribution. Our work can be seen in intranet news articles, a variety of internal emails and newsletters, and other internal-facing project deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
Three years’ related experience in a marketing/communications field
Detail-oriented self-starter with strong writing, organizational, and problem solving skills
Team player who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive customer service attitude
Ability to assess priority and handle a variety of projects and assignments at one time in a fast-paced environment
Aptitude for learning
Preferred Requirements:
Experience developing and producing content in a legal or professional services field
Knowledge of the law firm environment/industry
Adobe Photoshop and basic graphic design concepts
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, SEO, email and content marketing and strategy concepts
What will your day look like?
As a Communications Coordinator, you support the Communications Manager with internal firm communications, including weekly and monthly email newsletters, frequent intranet news postings, new partner and other firmwide announcements, and other materials. This will entail tasks such as writing and editing copy, organizing and compiling content from various sources, proofreading and coordinating approvals, preparing images for publication, preparing and staging intranet articles and emails, and coordinating the distribution of and/or publishing final materials.
You will also assist the Communications Manager in creating, testing, and applying communications, content marketing and SEO strategies, as well as tracking the success of communications and analyzing metrics reports.
Additionally, you will occasionally support other members of the Communications team on various projects related to internally or externally promoting firm initiatives.
