Overview and Essential Functions
This entry level position assists the Company’s aerial communication systems crews by performing various labor-related tasks on the ground.
What will you do?
Assists aerial lineworkers perform day to day tasks as directed;
Loads and unloads, assembles, prepares and maintains tools, supplies, materials, etc;
Hand digs using a shovel where needed;
Operates hand tools such as wrenches, drills, saws, lashers, etc;
Effectively sets up the job safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers;
Follows instructions;
Adhere to all company and manufacturer safety policies and procedures;
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent;
Interest in advancing toward an aerial lineman career
Regional travel is required;
Valid driver’s license with good driving record;
Ability to maintain a current DOT health card;
Previous use of basic hand tools;
Willingness to utilize technology (i.e. iPad, email, etc)
Ability to safely work in a fast-paced and potentially hazardous work environment;
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out both written and verbal instruction;
Good and respectful verbal communication skills;
Willingness to acquire CPR/First Aid certification.
