  Summary:

  The key objectives of the Amplified Commodity Team are to strengthen market analysis and spend forecasting accuracy, and to protect the company's financial results in the most effective way. The team reports into the Director of Amplified Commodity Management and is accountable for establishing pricing visibility and reducing volatility on critical commodities ($4-5B of annual spend) to help drive effective BU decision-making in a timely manner.

  The scope of the role will include conducting research and forecasting key commodities. trends and prices, plus the Commodity Risk Management of respective financial commodity derivatives (e.g., swaps, futures and options.). Key commodities under scope are Fiber, Nonwovens, Resins, Super Absorbent Materials, Energy & Utilities, and potentially other categories to be determined in the future. The key commodities will be assigned across the 3 commodity managers.

  Business Priorities for Commodity Management Team:

  Provides long-term price visibility (3-5 years) and advanced analytics on critical commoditiesProvides research insights to support commodity hedging decisions, as well as dispensing advice to procurement teams in making sound buying decisionsActively recommends and deploys volatility mitigation actions to minimize K-C's exposure

  Responsibilities:

  Project Execution and Analysis - 90%

  Analyze macro-economic trends and supply & demand outlook for portfolio commoditiesForecast long-term pricing movements leveraging advanced analytical techniquesDevelop exposure forecasts for hedging activitiesDevelop and maintain standard processes for market research and price forecastingRecommend volatility mitigation proposals with relative risk / reward (e.g., long-term contract vs. hedge, financial positions)Develop & maintain relationships with key industry players (e.g., banks) and peer companies to ensure the preferential flow of best practices and market insightsReport updates on commodity trends, K-C impact and positions / price to key stakeholders, including relaying complex information in an accessible format to senior managementLiaise closely with category managers to understand commodity requirements, ensure flow of information from suppliers and execute volatility mitigation strategies

  Capability Building- 10%

  Develop commodity risk management capabilities with the Procurement function, Implement, and monitor related measures to increase enterprise strategic agility.Coordinate and facilitate community of practice activities to drive shared learnings across the function

  To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  Required Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree in an economics, finance, business, mathematics or related discipline10 years of experience hedging and risk management experienceStrong understanding of derivative valuation and hedge accounting requirementsPrior hedging and/or risk management experienceFamiliarity with commodity analysis and experience with commodities (Fiber, Nonwovens, Resins, Super Absorbent Materials, Energy & Utilities) preferredStrong communication skills; able to relay complex issues in digestible, executive-level format

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Advanced Excel and MS Office skills required; programming
