ABOUT THE ROLE
The commercial video lead will be directly responsible for generating new revenue through development and implementation of video and moving image media in response to briefs. They will work closely with all relevant business units to create impactful video and social content ideas that meet our clients' objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Ideation
Work on client brief responses and feed in video ideas for partnership campaigns Provide video execution ideas for proactive pitches Come up with relevant and Hearst-brand specific external and internal talent suggestions to appear in video and social content Co-ordinate with Head of Video and editorial teams on possible commercial opportunities in existing editorial video spaces Develop packages for clients in terms of sponsorships and other proactive commercial initiatives - collate information on legal obligations, platform standards and best practices Identify and develop new executions, across video and new technologies inc. AR, VR and beyond Work with Commercial Content Director and creative strategy team to maximise interest and innovation on briefs to increase conversion rates Develop new franchises for sponsorship based on key pillars (beauty, fashion, homes, wellness etc), targeted at Hearst's top clients and new client opportunities. Consider syndication across markets and franchises without language borders Lead pre-sales development and production on large scale video projects, including proactive pilot episodes, and large-scale video partnerships (campaigns worth over £500k net). Bring in new formats and ideas from social that could be useful for branded content partnerships. Communication
Co-ordinate internal standards across platforms and make sure internal platforms and teams are up to date with best practices Regular meetings with Pre-Sales Leads on current and potential clients and opportunities Regular meetings with Head of Video to help manage commercial workflow, maintain parity across the teams and develop new commercially viable series Regular meetings with commercial editors (pre and post-sales) to align on commercial strategy and execution, tone of voice and update on live project performance Update and maintain the performance stats of live campaigns, identify success areas and problem projects in terms of audiences, formats, platforms and runtimesProduction and Logistics
Understand industry standard video practices, and engage with new production partners for freelance work Help pre-sales design team with the creation of video assets for marketing or pitching purposes, where necessary. This may involve scripting, story-boarding and occasional editing. Understand and forecast video budget and timeline considerations in the pre-sales process Understand all of Hearst's video processes and the unique challenges and opportunities within the company Co-ordinate standards and practices across the teams Be part of the approval process for video concepts in terms of feasibility, execution and flag potential cost considerations in partnership with the senior producer Regular meetings with key stakeholders from all parts of the business An eye on department budgets, spending, and cost-saving opportunities in partnership with the senior producerABOUT YOU
