Job Summary
At NetApp, we are always on the look-out for great talent. We have a fantastic team of CTR's in place and as business is growing, we would welcome speculative applications from people interested in joining the team.
The primary role of a Commercial Territory Representative is to collaborate with partners to develop, qualify,
manage and close a velocity sales business within an assigned sales territory. This role is quota-driven,
working closely with our Commercial capable partners to co-sell and represent NetApp's products and
solutions to existing and potential customers. This role requires a hunter mentality to break into new
accounts and workloads.
Job Requirements
• Develop and oversee implementation of a strategic territory plan to align partners and account team on
territory growth strategy
• Develop, manage, and grow a pipeline of sales opportunities with Commercial capable partners and
distributors to drive sales revenue
• Leverage NetApp and partner resources to create brand awareness and generate demand in assigned
territory
• Deliver NetApp strategy, vision, and messaging to customers, prospects and partners
• Responsible for sales forecasting accuracy, linearity and operational hygiene to achieve business
management excellence
Job Skills and Competencies
• Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving net new business.
• Self starter who is comfortable working independently and in a team environment
• Strong understanding of partner landscape in a specific territory
• Broad exposure to a variety of data storage and cloud technologies/concepts
• Highly organized and disciplined with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within
departments across functions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, customer service and
negotiation skills
• Located within assigned territory and able to travel regularly to visit local customers and partners
• Years of field technology sales (dependent on level) with a focus on new logo acquisition and
business development
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
This is a pipeline position that will be opened on a recurring basis and used to fill roles aligned with the required skill sets. Recruiting efforts will be ongoing until specific teams find an ideal match.
