  Description/Job Summary

  LOCATION:

  Location is open, with the Lubbock/Amarillo area being preferred.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Finance, or Business Administration.JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  Six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in insurance or Ag related field.

  Expert knowledge of crop, livestock, dairy, and hail insurance products.

  Demonstrated expertise in sales and prospecting for new customers.

  Agent insurance license required.

  FUNCTIONS:

  Serves insurance services policies of full-time, complex producers, including dairy operations, large cattle feeding operations, large row crop operations of 5,000 + acres.

  Collaborates with the Customer Service Specialist group in gathering acreage reports and production histories.

  Provides servicing to hail policies and supplemental insurance products. Responsible for sales production of Multi-Peril (MP), livestock risk protection (LRP), dairy risk protection (DRP), livestock gross margin (LGM), Crop Hail, Pasture, Rangeland, Forage (PRF) and Supplemental insurance products to customer and non-customer prospects.

  Develops personal marketing plan and updates annually around customer needs and risk tolerance. Seeks for opportunities to cross sell all products and services to customers.

  Represent the Association at industry events and other ag related events. Serves as a subject matter expert and makes sales presentations at seminars when needed.

  Provides product and sales expertise to staff, prospects, and customers. Responsible for providing referrals to other members of the Associations' sales teams.

  Develops proposals for one-on-one sales calls with customers or prospects, utilizing financial information gathered independently and from interaction with Commercial Ag Relationship Managers, Market Relationship Managers, and Credit Officers, in preparation of prospect sales calls.

  Utilizes the Associations' sales tools, techniques, and technology to effectively complete, track and document sales and customer activities.

  Assists with organizing and coordinating marketing insurance programs within assigned marketing areas.

  Processes insurance forms from multiple insurance vendors for MP, crop-hail, and supplemental products including analyzing and entering applications online if appropriate.

  Leverages customer's precision farming data to gather acreage and production reporting information. Enters acreage reports utilizing insurance company software according to underwriting requirements and current processes and procedures if appropriate.

  Verifies correct application of underwriting and actuarial calculations by insurance company software.

  Serve as point of contact for policy changes and enter information online with AIP system if appropriate.

  Reports loss claims for assigned portfolio.

  Develops and maintains a working relationship with insurance vendor representatives to improve sales and service to the Association and customers. Make business placement decisions based upon AIP products and offerings.

  Verifies that electronic insurance documents reflect current information and through use of insurance website reports and other resources, ensures complete and accurate reporting to meet deadlines.

  Coordinate with Customer Services Specialist group and insurance company personnel regarding application of complex insurance rules for specific customer insurance policy situations.

  OTHER DUTIES:

  Utilizes multiple insurance company and government websites to obtain general information and to monitor progress regarding specific policies.

  Participates in collaborative decision-making as well as make independent decision regarding implementation of insurance rules and development of internal processes.

  Assists in providing training support as needed.

  PREFERRED SKILLS:

  Advanced understanding of crop and crop hail sales and policy administration.

  Ability to interact with customers and prospects who have an intermediate level of financial acumen.

  Knowledge of the Associations' loan products.

  Ability to work independently with remotely located supervision and direction.

  Knowledge of insurance principles and their application to insurance delivery.

  Ability to appropriately handle confidential materials.

  High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  Strong human relations, written, and oral communication skills.

  Effective conflict resolution skills.

  Ability to initiate, organize and prioritize work.

  Knowledge of Association insurance policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines required.

  Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and support the Association's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

  At the discretion of CFC, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.
